Bradford West Gwillimbury & District Community Foundation is a charity that gives to charities in the community. The Foundation will fund a broad variety of initiatives including youth, seniors, health, education, arts and culture, social services, environment, animal welfare, poverty and much more.
2012 Benjamin Moore Community Restoration Program
Benjamin Moore and Co., Limited and Community Foundations of Canada share more than a decade of history together as partners in The Benjamin Moore Community Restoration Program, a granting program to support heritage restoration and community projects in Canada.
Local community foundations identify restoration and renovation projects and Benjamin Moore provides paint, expertise and financial support. The program is offered in different target communities each year and administered by CFC.
Objectives
- Provide financial support and Benjamin Moore paint to heritage and community programs making an impact in local communities
- Make connections between local charities, community foundations, and Benjamin Moore retailers
- Share stories about the impact of Benjamin Moore's philanthropy in local communities
Impact
- Contributed more than 160 grants to projects in close to 100 communities across the country
- Committed more than $566,000 in grants and $124,000 in paint donations to community groups
- Helped community groups realize their dreams: from restoring a small museum in Northern Ontario to renovating a hospice in Saint John. Other grants have refurbished a women's shelter, decorated a cutting-edge seniors' residence, improved a marine museum, and restored one of Canada's original post offices. Guide Lines Application
2011 Benjamin Moore Community Restoration Program
Bradford West Gwillimbury and District Community Foundation has been selected one of three Community Foundations in Central Canada to host the "2011 Benjamin Moore Community Restoration Program". We are excited to bring this opportunity to our community.
Working with the Community Foundation of Canada, the Benjamin Moore & Co. is offering grants of cash and paint to support heritage restoration and community projects in Bradford West Gillimbury. The successful projects will receive donated Benjamin Moore paint (up to a retail value of $750), colour expertise, and a cash grant of up to $4,000.

Grant History 2008
- Bradford West Gwillimbury Local History
Association
A grant went to the Local History Association for the placement of a statue of Elizabeth Simcoe Gwillim in the town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. This was part of the town's 2008 celebrations commemorating its 150th anniversary of being incorporated. The statue is located in the parkette in front of the Bradford Canada Post Office at the corner of John Street West and Barrie Street.

This grant helped sponsor Denise Garrido's entry into Miss Earth Canada 2008 which she went onto win.
