Brookfield Homes
Each year Brookfield
Homes hosts a Charity Golf Day for all their staff and
suppliers/subcontractors. They use the proceeds to benefit
different charities annually in the communities where they are
currently building.
In 2010, Brookfield Homes once again generously donated proceeds raised
at the Charity Golf Day. Bradford West Gwillimbury and District
Community Foundation received a donation for $5,000.00.
Brookfield Homes was one of the first donors to the Bradford West
Gwillimbury and District Community Foundation. In 2007, they
donated $9,000.00 from their Charity Golf Day. Their generosity
will help the Foundation continue to make a difference in the Bradford
West Gwillimbury and District area.
Sabi Ahsan
Sabi is a sales representative for Prudential
Huronia Real Estate who donated $12,000 to the Foundation. For every property bought or sold through Mr. Ahsan, he donated
$100 to the Foundation.
"Rising real estate prices has been kind to property owners," said Sabi.
As an alternative to paying high taxes and wondering if the money
will ever make it back to Bradford, it makes sense to make a direct
donations to the foundation, which supports other local charities."
Thomas (Tom) Evans Memorial Endowment Fund
Margaret Evans wanted to honour and remember her husband - Tom
Evans. Tom was one of the
founding members of the Bradford West Gwillimbury & District Community
Foundation. It was a dream
of Tom's' for many years to set up a community foundation for the area. Margaret and Tom were delighted to see the Foundation start
operating in 2007.
